DNALinux es una distribución Live CD basada en SLAX. No está diseñada para utilizarse como un sistema operativo de “desktop”, sino como un servidor:

This version is for network use only. You should boot a computer in your network with DNALinux server and then point your browser to the IP of this machine. It is not intented to be used as a standalone system (but it can be used that way if you are confortable with CLI and Lynx).

The most recent release of DNALinux Server was in 2004, so we have many changes for this version:

* Based on Slax 5.10 Server (better hardware support)..
* Apache webserver instead of Monkey
* NCBI BLAST 2.2.13
* H5N1, SARS and Smallpox genomes (get them while you can).

DNALinux server have some sequences loaded into the BLAST database ready to be searched. You can insert your own DNA or Protein sequence database into the CD or request us to do it.
